Queens man in Saugerties catches 4 felony drug charges, 3 misdemeanors

After receiving reports of a “physical domestic incident” at the Kingston Motel on May 23 at around 3:15pm, New York State Police responded to the 239 Forest Hill Drive location and “determined that Brittany C. Santaliz, age 33, of Kingston, NY, unlawfully entered a motel room and physically assaulted a 12-year-old child, striking the victim multiple times in the face and causing injury.”

Police said they were contacted by the victim’s parents, who removed Santaliz from the room before they arrived. The child sustained minor injuries and received treatment at the scene.

Santaliz is now charged with the felony count of burglary in the 1st degree, and misdemeanor counts of assault in the 3rd degree, and act in a manner injurious to a child less than 17.

The woman was arraigned and sent to Ulster County Jail, with a court date for May 28.
