A Kingston man was arrested Sunday, May 11, following a shooting at the Leonard and Vera Van Dyke Apartments that left another man seriously injured. Police responded to the Sheehan Lane complex around 5:03am, where a 27-year-old victim was found and later transferred from HealthAlliance Hospital to Westchester Medical Center. His injuries were not life-threatening.
Anthony Harding Jr., 28, was charged with felony assault and is being held at Ulster County Jail on $100,000 bail. The investigation is ongoing, with support from multiple law enforcement agencies.
This marks the second shooting in Kingston this year. On March 25, Juress Brodhead, 41, was arrested and charged with felony assault after a separate incident at the Wiltwyck Gardens apartments. The victim in that case was treated and released.
