Uptown Kingston steakhouse Chops Grille announced recently that today would be its last day of service.
In a “bittersweet farewell” posted to social media, owners Denni and Joan Demosthenes addressed longtime customers and the public to thank them for being part of a “beautiful ride”.
“After much thought and reflection,” they wrote, “we’ve made the difficult decision to close our restaurant as our lease comes to an end. It’s been an incredible journey filled with unforgettable memories, loyal customers, and a passionate team that made everything possible.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to all of you—our amazing customers who became like family, and our dedicated staff members who brought their heart and soul into every day.”
The owners gave a special shout out to nonprofit housing developers RUPCO for being “nothing short of incredible” and helping the business through the uncertain Covid pandemic era.
“While this chapter is coming to a close, we’re looking forward to slowing down a bit, embracing new adventures, and enjoying life in a new way,” wrote the owners.
