Spring in the Hudson Valley seems to be having a hard time motivating itself.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for parts of the Mid-Hudson Valley and parts of Ulster County, where forecasters estimate snowfall totals could range from a dusting to 3 inches in higher elevations by early Saturday afternoon.
Dutchess, Orange, and Putnam counties may see minor snow accumulation, generally under an inch. Gusty northeast winds will increase after midnight Friday and persist through Saturday, with gusts occasionally reaching 30 mph.
Precipitation is expected to taper off after 5pm Saturday, with any remaining light rain or snow ending by midnight. Temperatures will remain steady around 40 degrees during the day and dip into the upper 30s overnight.
The weather improves Sunday, with morning clouds giving way to occasional sun and highs in the low to mid-50s. Breezy conditions will continue.
