Julie Seyfert resigns from the New Paltz Town Board

The New Paltz Town Board has accepted the resignation of town board member Julie Seyfert, who served on the board for nine years.

Candidates wishing to be appointed to the vacant seat may send a letter of interest and cover letter to assistant@townofnewpaltz.org. Interviews will be conducted at the regular town board meeting on February 20.

The deadline for submission of materials is noon on February 19.

Interested candidates should:
• Be familiar with all documents and items on the agenda.
• Be ready to serve as liaison on at least three town committees, requiring at least three additional evening meetings per month.
• Be ready to be trained to audit and sign invoices and vouchers six weekends per year.
• Be ready and able to serve at the March 6 town board meeting.
• Take all DEI, cybersecurity and other trainings.
