According to a statement from New York State Police, troopers from Highland responded to a car accident at approximately 1:26pm on Monday, Dec. 9.
There at the intersection of Rt. 299 and South Street, police investigated the crash and determined Anastasia Laperuta, 21, of Saugerties had failed to yield right of way while making a left-hand turn in a 2016 Ford F150, striking the 2015 Toyota RAV4 driven by Tyler Vanderee, 25, of New Windsor.
Vanderee was taken to Vassar Brothers Medical Center with injuries. Police said they considered the injuries to be non-life-threatening.
Police noted no tickets had been issued.
