Three years after it was approved by the Woodstock Town Board, reconstruction on the Zena Road bridge has been completed.
Construction on the bridge, delayed significantly by the Covid pandemic, was initiated primarily due to erosion to the soil under its abutments from Sawkill Creek, and general wear and tear to the structure over the years. The bridge was also made a little wider to allow for traffic to flow more comfortably.
The bridge opening was great news for Woodstock drivers who for several months have often needed to go miles out of their way to get down Sawkill Road.
