The popular Kingston waterfront restaurant Ole Savannah, located at 100 Rondout Landing, is set to undergo a significant transformation. In Spring 2025, the establishment will rebrand as The Cornell Restaurant + Bar, introducing an updated dining atmosphere and experience while riffing off the area’s rich maritime heritage.
Throughout the transition, the sprawling bar and dining hall will remain open, continuing to host events and serve brunch, lunch, and dinner. The new menu at The Cornell will retain some of Ole Savannah’s Southern-inspired dishes and incorporate fresh global fusion cuisine, blending comfort food with contemporary flavors.
The building, once part of the historic Cornell Steamboat Company, will undergo interior and exterior renovations led by the Jackson Creative Group. The redesign aims to enhance the dining atmosphere while paying homage to the site’s nautical past.
Owner Dave Amato will be working alongside Jessica Mino, his partner in launching Brickmen Kitchen + Bar at 47 N. Front St., to bring this new vision to life. The Cornell Restaurant + Bar will continue Ole Savannah’s tradition of being a community hub, hosting local events and gatherings that have been a hallmark of the establishment.
