Walk, talk, and learn about the many unique species living right in your own backyard at this free event created to encourage both children and adults to explore nature. Biologist and NYS Licensed Hiking Guide Joeylynn Henderson of Nature is Calling hosts the third of six monthly Free Guided Nature Walks at Sojourner Truth State Park this Saturday. Participants will observe and identify species native to the Hudson Valley, discover their role within the ecosystem, and discuss cultivating a relationship with nature. This all-ages hike features a beginner-friendly path. Participants get a take-home nature worksheet with a crossword and mindfulness exercises. Henderson also teaches waterfront yoga and guided nature walks (open to the public!) on Saturday mornings at Hutton Brickyards in Kingston.
