Matthew Sutton, 34, of Lake Katrine, a volunteer captain of the Ruby Fire Department, was struck by a truck at 3:16 p.m. on March 12 as he was directing traffic on Sawkill Road. He sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center.
His friends and supporters are seeking funds to support him in his rehabilitation. “Matt will need another surgery in a few months to put a piece of his skull back on,” his partner Melissa Rush has reported,
The Paul Luke Band will be playing at a fundraiser for Matt at Woodstock Harley Davidson on Route 28 on Saturday, May 18.
