Millennials everywhere will be thrilled to learn that Ilana Glazer’s Live Tour kicks off in Kingston this Thursday at UPAC. Glazer is the most recent performer to take stage at UPAC, adding to the impressive comedic roster of notable performers this season including John Mulaney, Pete Davidson, and upcoming shows with Fortune Feimster, and Wanda Sykes. Biana del Rio–a drag queen featured on Ru Paul’s–will bring their tour Dead Inside to the theater at the end of February. Glazer, the creator and comedian known best for co-creating and co-starring in the critically-acclaimed series Broad City, will perform her most recent stand up act Other notable works include a debut stand-up comedy special, The Planet Is Burning, co-wrote and starred in the film False Positive. Tickets range from $41 to $81, with an age requirement of 15+.

Bardavon also recently announced  “Game Changers,” a free film series featuring twelve films that revolutionized cinema from February to June at both UPAC and the Bardavon in Poughkeepsie. Some of the films include Citizen Kane, Black Panther, and Pan’s Labyrinth. The Happy Hour preceding each film will begin at 6:30pm (half-price beer and wine and free snacks and soda) with the film beginning at 7:30pm.

Buy your tickets online (bardavon.org) or make a trip out of it and buy your ticket the old-fashioned way at the box office in midtown and visit the community steadily building around it. Restaurants and bars include Westkill Supply, Tubby’s, Tilda’s, Ollie’s Pizza, Eliza, Mirador, and Fletcher and Lu. Enjoy thrift, vintage, and consignment from various stores like Rewind Kingston, Red Owl Collective, Brookelane, and Your Mom and the Swan.
