It’s fitting that David Bowie, one of the most legendary musicians of all time, would get two full nights of tribute in Woodstock where he once called home. Well, it was his home some of the time – after all, he was a globe-trotting rock star. Like many past and present Woodstock celebrities, he wasn’t exactly out and about that much, but if you were lucky you could catch a glimpse of him at a local gym or picking his kid up from school.
The annual concert honoring the Thin White Duke (and a dozen other personas) features Robert Burke Warren and a lineup of special guests will take fans on a melodic journey through Bowie’s illustrious career. From the cosmic echoes of “Space Oddity” to the vibrant beats of his 70s era, and from the allure of Serious Moonlight to the introspective depths of 2016’s parting masterpiece Blackstar, the event promises a diverse exploration of Bowie’s multifaceted artistry.
