Town of New Paltz Youth Director Jim Tinger announced last week that after many years and contributions from countless sources, the New Paltz Youth Program has raised enough money for a brand new 15-passenger Ford transit van. One of its biggest issues has been transportation for field trips. Over the years, the youth program has participated in countless fundraising events, activities and programs, and all of that hard work has paid off.

“We are so grateful to all of the members of the community who have been so instrumental in helping us achieve our goals,” said Tinger. “Special thanks to everyone at Town Hall — our town supervisor Neil Bettez, his assistant Kathy Preston, Jean Gallucci our comptroller and Arlene Webber and her staff in the bookkeeping department. Their kindness and assistance with this process has been essential for its success. We look forward to being able to expose young people to all of the wonderful things that Hudson Valley has to offer, for many years to come.”
