New Paltz’s Francois Barcomb, a physics teacher at Hendrick Hudson High School in Montrose, NY, will compete next week in the Jeopardy! The two-week event, which begins Monday, May 6, features 15 educators competing for a $100,000 grand prize and a spot in the next Tournament of Champions.
Barcomb will appear on the Wednesday, May 8 episode.
“Teachers are the only profession for whom we’ve created a special tournament, which I hope shows how much everyone at Jeopardy! values their work,” said Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek. “This group of contestants will certainly make their students and their communities proud.”
