On Saturday, May 4, Kaatsbaan Cultural Park for Dance welcomes Aszure Barton & Artists: An Evening of Dance & Music, with the additional lure of champagne and chocolates provided by Samuel’s Sweet Shop in Rhinebeck. In a culmination of their one-week residency at Kaatsbaan, Aszure Barton & Artists perform Reunion, a work-in-progress featuring dancers Lara Barclay and Ana Maria Lucaciu with music improvisation by Lev “Ljova” Zhurbin. Barclay and Lucaciu will join AB&A in this new work set to premiere in Hamburg, Germany this summer. This work-in-progress will be followed by solos, duets and trios from Barton’s piece Awáa, which The Washington Post hailed as “an extraordinary work.” Ticket prices are $35 general admission, $10 for students and children.
