As the partial shutdown of the federal government continues, Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster wants to remind those impacted by the furlough that help is available through the non-profit agency’s Case Management program. Catholic Charities services include emergency food and shelter assistance and other social safety net support.
Case Management offices are located at: Kingston — 6 Adams St., (845) 340-9170; Middletown — 305 North St., (845) 344-4242; Monticello — 17 Hamilton Ave., (845) 794-8080; Newburgh — 280 Broadway, 4th Floor, (845) 561-1665; and Port Jervis — 17 Sussex Street, (845) 856-6344.
Community residents interested in lending their support can make a donation to one of the area human service agencies, like Catholic Charities or their local food pantry. Catholic Charities will gratefully accept donations of cash, food, basic hygiene items, warm outerwear and undergarments for distribution to those in need in Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster counties. Assistance is provided regardless of religion or ability to pay.
