With a little more than a week to to go until midterm elections, Democrats rolled out one of the party’s biggest guns — former Vice President Joe Biden — in their effort to take New York’s 19th Congressional District. The popular former VP appeared Friday at the Senate Garage in Uptown Kingston at a rally to support Democratic challenger Antonio Delgado. Speaking to a packed house inside the 650-capacity hall, Biden cast Delgado’s race against incumbent Republican John Faso part of a larger struggle to restore America’s stature abroad, while restoring “middle-class values” at home.
“This is about the character of the nation,” Biden said of the upcoming election. “This is about who we are as Americans.”
