Sponsored by the Ulster Community College Foundation, the Poetry Forum at SUNY-Ulster presents Martín Espada, author of more than 20 books as a poet, editor, essayist and translator. The Brooklyn-born poet’s latest volume is Vivas to Those Who Have Failed (Norton, 2016). A former tenant lawyer in Greater Boston’s Latino community, Espada is a professor of English at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. As part of the Ellen Robbins Poetry Forum, Martin Espada speaks on Thursday, April 12 at 10:15 in the College Lounge of Vanderlyn Hall on the SUNY-Ulster campus.
