The village of Saugerties will sponsor the fourth annual New Year’s Eve celebration in the village on Sunday, December 31 at 10 p.m. Expect to see performances from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. and a countdown video and ball drop at midnight at the corner of Main and Partition streets with DJ Riley Cornelison. The Boy Scouts will have coffee and hot cocoa and the Saugerties Youth Football League will have hot dogs. Many of the restaurants and bars will plan special New Year’s Eve menus and offer specials. Some streets will be closed from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Attendees are advised to dress warmly and bring a folding chair to sit on. Party favors will be available.
