A woman was killed Tuesday, Dec. 5 by a CSX train in the Town of Ulster near the Tractor Supply store.
Town police responded to a 911 call at approximately 1:15 p.m. that day. Police determined that a female subject was fatally struck by a northbound CSX locomotive.
Police said Wednesday that the dead woman was a 32-year-old Ulster County woman and that they believed she committed suicide.
The Ulster Police Department was assisted at the scene by members of the Ulster Hose Fire Department and CSX Police Department.
