On November 9, the New York State Police at Catskill arrested Justin J. Ross, 22, of Saugerties. He was charged with the following:
- Second-degree rape (felony)
- Second-degree criminal sexual act (felony)
- Forcible touching (misdemeanor)
- Two counts endangering the welfare of a child (misdemeanor)
State Police conducted a two-month investigation into Ross, a prior level 2 sex offender, for having sexual contact with several minors. As a result of this investigation, Ross was arrested on the charges listed above.
Ross was arraigned in the Town of Cairo court and remanded to Greene County Jail on $25,000 cash bail / $50,000 secured bond pending a future court appearance.
