Saugerties police responded to a 911 call on Dock St. at 6:22 a.m. today, Aug. 12, for an unconscious and unresponsive man. When officers arrived, they found a 42-year-old man in his bedroom, passed out with a tourniquet wrapped around his arm. Officers administered two doses of Narcan, which counteracts opiates, and provided mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Upon the arrival of paramedics from Diaz Ambulance another dose of Narcan was administered, after which the victim became responsive. The victim was transported to the Health Alliance of the Hudson Valley Broadway Campus Hospital by Diaz Ambulance.
