The 2017 “Music in the Parks” series of free lawn concerts in Hyde Park is in full swing. The Wednesday-evening performances are presented by Hyde Park Recreation every summer with sponsorship from local businesses. The next concert takes place on Wednesday, July 26 at 7 p.m., featuring the Wishing on Stars jazz band at the Staatsburgh State Historic Site.
August concerts, all at 6:30 p.m., kick off on Wednesday, August 2 with Cross Cultural Connection at Vanderbilt Mansion, followed by Four Guys in Disguise on Wednesday, August 9 at Staatsburgh. The West Point Military Academy Band will perform at Vanderbilt Mansion on August 16 (rain date: August 17).
