Winner of the CMA Cleveland Quartet Award and professional quartet-in-residence at Temple University’s Center for Gifted Young Musicians, Philadelphia’s Jasper String Quartet makes its debut at Maverick Concerts on Sunday, July 23 at 4 p.m. Titled “New Foundations VII,” the program for this performance features Haydn’s String Quartet in G Major, Op. 76, No. 1, Brahms’ String Quartet No. 2 in A Minor, Op. 51, No. 2, and one new work: String Quartet No. 3, “River” (2015) by Aaron Jay Kernis.
