Motorcyclist hits tree in Saugerties

A Napanoch man was injured after striking a tree on Glenerie Ln. in Mount Marion last night. According to police, Zachery C. Dumond, 28, was operating a 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle shortly after 8 p.m. heading north on Glenerie Lane with the headlights off. Dumond failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, running off the right shoulder of the roadway and down an embankment, striking a tree head on. Dumond sustained multiple injuries in the crash and was treated at the scene by members from the Mount Marion Fire Department and paramedics from DIAZ Ambulance. He was transported to the Health Alliance Hospital, Broadway Campus in Kingston, where he was stabilized and then transferred to the Albany Medical Center.
