A 48-year-old Saugerties woman was killed in a three-car crash Wednesday, March 15 at the intersection of Route 9W and Tuytenbridge Road, Ulster town police said.
According to police, at about 5:47 p.m., a 2001 Ford heading south on 9W and driven by 26-year-old Alton Mitchell of Lake Katrine rear-ended a 1995 Volkswagen driven by 49-year-old Ernest Breitung of Saugerties. The crash pushed the Volkswagen into the opposite lane, where it was hit by a 2003 GMC being driven by 49-year-old Anthony Bell of Saugerties.
