Appearing as “Super Yellow Crayon” at last week’s New Paltz Town Board meeting,” resident Lauren Aidan Koehler encouraged town council members to act with civility toward each other and other residents. Koehler, a member of the “public comment players” who occasionally speak at meetings musically and/or in costume, did not mention council member Jeff Logan by name, but it’s likely that’s who she was talking about. Her crayon outfit played off a comment Logan once made about Daniel Torres, that he makes “notes with his crayons.” Logan was not present to hear Koehler “ask for an end to uncivilized behavior,” such as the arguing which led to the sudden adjournment of the last council meeting.
