Deputies and Detectives of the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office are investigating an incident that occurred at the Sam’s Point Preserve on Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 5:05 p.m., Deputies responded to a 911 call reporting that a hiker had fallen from a cliff at the Sam’s Point Preserve in the Town of Wawarsing. Deputies, Park Rangers and Fire/Rescue personnel extricated the victim from the location and the victim was transported to Orange Regional Medical Center. The victim remains in critical condition.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
