The venerable Center for Spectrum Services, one of the area’s premier schools for children with autism, is hosting its Harvest Hop Dance at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, November 19 at Diamond Mills in Saugerties. The fundraiser will help support the programs and services for the school’s students, all of whom have autism.
The evening includes a hour of complimentary wine, beer, and soft drinks with a cash bar, dancing, hors d’oeuvres, along with silent auction items, services and goods.
Joe Veillette and The Phantoms will provide the music, both acapella and plugged in, and this year’s special honoree and Harvest Hop chairperson is Sue Blakely Cutrone, whose volunteer activities for Spectrum Services has also included arranging grant support from her former employer, IBM. Both Sue and Joe are drawn to this event because they share two very special things in common; Sue’s grandson Oliver, and Joe’s grandson Ethan, are both students at Spectrum Services.
The event is being sponsored by Rose & Kiernan Insurance, Rondout Savings Bank, Herzog’s Home & Paint Centers, Hudson River Valley Environmental LLC, and Ulster Publishing. Sponsorships are still available, and interested businesses can contact Spectrum Services at 845-336-2616, ext. 165.
Reservations are $60 per person, and can be made at https://centerforspectrumservices.org/ or at the above phone number.
