Powerhouse blues and Americana vocalist Shemekia Copeland is the latest in a seemingly endless string of outsize blues, jazz, roots and world-music names to visit the Falcon in Marlboro. Copeland is touring in support of her gritty, rocking Grammy-nominated 2015 record Outskirts of Love. She won the 2016 Blues Music Award for Contemporary Blues Female Artist of the Year. She won the 2016 Living Blues Award for Best Blues Artist (Female) in both Readers’ and Critics’ Polls, and Outskirts of Love was named the Best Blues Album of 2015. Blues Blast Magazine named Copeland the 2016 Female Blues Artist of the Year.
