Mason Rothe has been named valedictorian and Nathaniel Lukaszewski, salutatorian of the Saugerties Senior High School’s Class of 2016.
Mason and Nathaniel will be the featured speakers at the 120th Commencement Ceremony, which will be held this Saturday, June 25, at 10 a.m. at the Saugerties Senior High School on Washington Avenue Extension.
Mason is the son of Richard and Jill Rothe. Mason’s four-year accumulative academic average is 101.515. His involvement in extra-curricular activities includes History Club, Key Club, Student Council, Lip Sync Dream Team and National Honor Society. He is planning on attending Hofstra University in the fall to pursue a degree in finance and management.
Nathaniel is the son of Raymond and Celeste Lukaszewski. Nathaniel’s four-year accumulative average is 100.577. His involvement in extracurricular and interscholastic activities include yearbook (editor), Lip Sync Dream Team, Key Club, Student Government, Math Team, Chess Club and Quiz Bowl. He is planning on attending RPI in the fall to pursue a degree in electrical engineering.
