There are two food drives coming up: the first will be held Friday, Sept. 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sawyer Savings Bank. The second is the Boy Scout Food Drive, Saturday, Nov. 14. Saugerties residents may place donations on their doorsteps by 9 a.m. that day for scouts to pick up. Not all homes will be covered, but most of town will be, especially where homes are close together. Anyone who puts out food that is not picked up may call 679-4252 and someone will make a trip to get it. See saugertiesfoodpantry.com for more info. In addition, donations can be dropped off at the pantry, 44 Livingston St. when it is open: Monday from 10 a.m. to noon, Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon.
