“Garlic is divine. Few food items can taste so many distinct ways, handled correctly. Misuse of garlic is a crime…Please,
treat your garlic with respect…Avoid at all costs that vile spew you see rotting in oil in screwtop jars. Too lazy to peel
fresh? You don’t deserve to eat garlic.”
-Anthony Bourdain, “Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly”

Garlic lovers, rejoice; garlic haters and folks who abhor traffic, be warned — The Hudson Valley Garlic Festival will be held at Cantine Field Saturday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets cost $10. There will be rare varieties of garlic available to purchase, chef demos, children’s activities, chef demos, plenty of food (including garlic ice cream), live music, dancers and crafts. More info is available at www.hvgf.org.
