Youko Yamamoto, owner of Gomen-Kudasai Noodle Shop, and Livia and Billy Vanaver, directors of the Vanaver Caravan, are the driving forces behind Bon-Odori, a unique summer dance festival in New Paltz. To promote its fifth annual event, scheduled to take place on August 9, they will be featuring photographs taken by Lauren Thomas and Yamamoto of previous Bon-Odori festivals. An opening reception for the exhibit, “Steps Toward a Nuclear Free Future,” will be held this Sunday, May 24 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Gomen-Kudasai, which is located in the Rite Aid Plaza in New Paltz. Sake, tea and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
The photographs will be on display through September 15. For additional information, call (845) 255-8811 or visit www.GKnoodles.com.
