The Williams Lake Classic Youth Races, on May 24 will include categories for tike bikers, ages 3–6 and speed racers, ages 7–14. Youth racers ride a shorter race course with timed finishes and podium award ceremonies. Youth races are free. Pre-registration is strongly advised.
On May 30 and 31, the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) race series will return to Williams Lake with two days of competitive teen races. Student athletes from across the state can participate in a series of regional races held from April through June.
“We are thrilled, as always, to welcome mountain bike riders, from youth riders to professionals, to the Williams Lake property’s incredible single-track terrain,” said manager Tim Allred. “We look forward to hosting and expanding our race program in the years to come.”
