The Saugerties Central School District will host a parent education night on youth social media safety on Monday, March 23 at 7 p.m. at the Saugerties High School auditorium. The event will feature professional speaker and “edu-tainer” Robert Hackenson, Jr., who will discuss cyberbullying, social media addiction, the risks of social media and the pros and cons of popular social media apps. Hackenson will also provide tips to parents on how to monitor and protect their children. All parents and guardians of Saugerties students are encouraged to attend.
The Parent Education Night will follow a Youth Social Media Safety workshop for students throughout the school day on March 23 in the SHS auditorium.
