Julie Dunn has received the nomination of the Republican, Democratic and Conservative parties for receiver of taxes. Dunn, who is not enrolled in a party, was appointed to the office last month. Receiver of taxes will be the only town office on the ballot in November. So far there are no other candidates.
Dunn has been the town bookkeeper since February of this year. Prior to that, she worked as a clerk in the receiver of taxes department for a year and a half, and as village treasurer for nine years.
The position was vacated last month following the untimely death of Suzi Filak, who was unopposed in her reelection bid last November.
The position pays $37,758.
