Bob Siracusano announced last week the beneficiary of the 11th annual Sawyer Motors Car Show will be the Boys and Girls Club of Saugerties, chosen for their work with work with youngsters in the community. The nonprofit operates after-school and summer programs.
After meeting with members of the club’s board, it was clear that the current economic climate has hit the club hard, Siracusano said. “The youth of our community are worth investing in as they truly are our future. At this time I and my staff can’t think of a more worthy cause than seeing that the Boys and Girls Club remain solvent in order that they may continue to work with the youth of our community. We are so fortunate to have such an organization in Saugerties, one which so many communities lack.”
The Sawyer Motors Car Show will take place in the village of Saugerties on July 6. The theme this year is “Helping Hands,” said Boys and Girls Club board member Scott Denny. “Bob and his staff at Sawyer Motors have done so much over the years for the community in Saugerties and now they are extending a helping hand to the Boys and Girls Club, and their generosity could have not come at a more crucial time in our organization’s history. For that we thank Bob, and our organization looks forward to participating in this year’s Sawyer Motors Car Show.”
