The annual village spring clean-up will be held Monday, April 21 through Friday, April 25. Brush and yard waste only; nothing over six inches in diameter or six inches in length. Separate brush from leaves. Limit is seven cubic yards (one truckload) per residence.
The schedule for pick-up is as follows: Monday – north of Main St. and west of Washington Ave. Tuesday – north of Main Street and east of Washington Ave. Wednesday – south of Main St. to the bridge. Thursday – south side. Friday – any remaining streets.
Village officials are asking residents to wait until just before that time to bring brush and yard waste to the curb. Trustee Terry Parisian, liaison to the department of public works, said because of the long and snowy winter, the DPW put down a lot of sand and salt, which is taking longer than previous years to clean up.
“Give the crews enough time to complete all street sweeping before putting stuff curbside,” said Parisian.
