The county announced today that the Sauer Bridge on Glasco Turnpike over the Esopus Creek will be closed for repairs for around eight months.
The bridge was closed last week and a county engineer determined it should remain closed until needed repairs could be made.
The recommended detours are the Leggs Mill Rd. Bridge and Route 209 Bridge, both in Lake Katrine.
The closest other crossing is 9W, in the center of the village.
