The Saugerties Public Library and the Friends of the Library will dedicate the art gallery at the library in honor of Steve Crohn, artist and former head of the library’s Arts and Exhibits Committee who passed away earlier this year. There will be a reception at the library on Sunday, Dec. 15 from 1-3 p.m. It was Crohn’s concept to establish a revolving art gallery within the library, and it was due to his enthusiasm and efforts that it became a reality. The library’s community room will be decorated with samples of Crohn’s art. Members of the community are invited to attend and to meet Crohn’s fellow artists, family members and representatives of various community organizations. Light refreshments will be served. Admission is free and all are welcome.
