In the closely watched Highway Superintendent race, Incumbent Doug Myer defeated Ray Mayone decisively, 55% to 45%, surprising many, who were expecting an extremely tight race between the first-term incumbent and well-known challenger.
The unofficial tally was 2,918 to 2,295.
Myer carried the Democrat and Conservative lines, Mayone the Republican, Independence and Saugerties United lines.
