Rock royalty once again descends on the Bearsville Theater on Friday, October 11 when Radio Woodstock presents Rickie Lee Jones. The concert is part of the 15th annual Pink October Fundraiser benefiting the Dyson Center for Cancer Care at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.
The iconoclastic Jones is still best-known by the general public for her debut hit “Chuck E’s in Love,” but her career has been wide-ranging, featuring such popular cult classics as 1981’s Pirates and 1989’s Flying Cowboys. Her recent releases – 2009’s Balm in Gilead and 2012’s The Devil You Know – reveal a mature songwriter still very much at the height of her powers.
Tickets cost $150 for front-row seating plus a meet-and-greet; $79 for Golden Circle seating, $69 for reserved seating and $45 for general admission. The show begins at 9 p.m. For tickets, visit https://radiowoodstock.com. Call (845) 679-7600 for more information. The Bearsville Theater is located at 291 Tinker Street in Woodstock.
