Kites Over the Hudson at Washington’s Headquarters in Newburgh
I felt some of those autumn winds at the soccer fields the other day. Instead of just inhaling the crisp air, how about putting it to some good use, like flying a kite? On Saturday, September 21 at 2 p.m., head over to George Washington’s Headquarters for its annual “Kites Over the Hudson” event. The first 150 children under 15 years of age will receive a free kite, and prizes will be awarded for different categories. And how about free admission to the museum and the Headquarters that day, too? You got it!
Washington’s Headquarters is located at 84 Liberty Street in Newburgh. For more information, call (845) 562-1195 or visit https://nysparks.com.
