The Center for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck will present the Rhinebeck Theatre Society’s production of Camelot, the epic romantic tale of King Arthur, Queen Guinevere and Arthur’s best friend Lancelot, from Friday, September 13 through Sunday, September 29. Evening performances take place on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sunday matinees at 3 p.m.
The musical has one of Broadway’s most enduring and popular scores, featuring “If Ever I Would Leave You,” “Before I Gaze at You Again,” and “How to Handle a Woman.” The production stars Joe Eriole, Amy Lawrence Cohen, David Foster and Jim Hammill. The book and lyrics were written by Alan Jay Lerner and the music composed by Frederick Loewe. Camelot is based on the book The Once and Future King by T. H. White.
