Labor Day celebration at West Point

Be at Trophy Point at 3 p.m. for a scavenger hunt for the kids and an opportunity to study the museum exhibits. Guided tours of Trophy Point will be held at 5 and 6 p.m., followed by the concert at 7:30 p.m.

For more information, call (845) 938-2445 or (845) 938-2617, or visit www.usma.edu/band. To print up a concert program, visit www.facebook.com/westpointusma the day of the concert.

Hudson Valley Renegades season closer at Dutchess Stadium

Another sign of the end of summer is the last Hudson Valley Renegades baseball game of the season. On Wednesday, September 4, the ‘Gades play against the Connecticut Tigers at 6:35 p.m. at Dutchess Stadium, followed by fireworks. Not only are Renegades games a lot of fun to attend, but the team store usually has end-of-season sales on Renegades merchandise on the last game date.

Ticket prices range from $8 to $17. Dutchess Stadium is located at 1500 Route 9D in Wappingers Falls. For tickets or more information, call (845) 838-0094 or visit https://hvrenegades.com.

Erica Chase-Salerno is thrilled that she finally saw her first Hudson Valley eagles while sailing on the Clearwater! She and her husband Mike live in New Paltz with their two children: the inspirations behind hudsonvalleyparents.com. She can be reached at kidsalmanac@ulsterpublishing.com.
