Bard SummerScape and Woodstock Tango will present the return of Noche Porteña: A Night of Argentine Tango at the Bard College Spiegeltent Sunday, August 4 from 5:30 to 10 p.m. The evening opens with a performance by Cristian Correa and his partner Angeles Chañaha. This is Correa’s first visit to the Hudson Valley and will be his only performance in the region before he travels back to Buenos Aires.
Tango lessons will follow, offered by Woodstock Tango founder and Noche Porteña host, Ilene Marder. No experience or partner is necessary. The lessons will be followed by live music for dancing with the J.P. Jofre Hard Tango Trio.
Tickets are $20. Purchase online at the Bard College website or at the box office the night of the event. The Spiegeltent at Bard College is adjacent to the Fisher Center for the Performing Arts in Annandale-on Hudson.
