The Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary (WFAS) at 35 Van Wagner Road will host its seventh annual July Jamboree on Saturday, July 6 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Celebrate the joys of summer and the work of WFAS while visiting with more than 200 friendly critters at Woodstock’s hip haven for rescued farm animals.
There will be live music by Grammy-nominated Tracy Bonham, Uncle Rock and Seth Davis, plus lots of kids’ activities, including storytelling, face-painting, crafts, hula-hoop lessons, a bouncy castle, farm tours and a mouthwatering and inventive Fourth of July-themed Veg-E-Q with veggie versions of classic barbecue favorites. Dan and Annie Shannon of Betty Goes Vegan fame – the cookbook that veganizes classic favorites in the original Betty Crocker cookbook – will offer cooking demos.
Proceeds from this event directly benefit the charitable work of the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary. Admission costs $10 for adults, $5 for kids and WFAS members. Kids under age 3 are admitted free. For more information, call (845) 679-5955 or visit ulsterpub.staging.wpenginesanctuary.org.
