There will be a public hearing on the latest version of the town and village Master Plan at 6:30 p.m., June 5 at the senior center, corner of Market and Robinson streets.
A comprehensive plan, or master plan, is a series of goals and statements meant to form the basis for future laws. The Saugerties plan includes sections on housing, development, zoning, the local economy, and natural resources, among others. Discussion over affordable housing and gambling has dominated previous public hearings on this draft of the plan, which represents an update of an earlier plan passed in 1999.
