Annual egg hunts to take place in Highland, Gardiner and New Paltz

Little egg hunters can hop on the bunny trail this Saturday, March 23 and next Saturday, March 30 and search for treats during the annual Easter egg hunts in Highland, Gardiner and New Paltz.

 

Easter magic in the Hamlet on March 23

The Town of Lloyd Events Committee will sponsor its annual Easter egg hunt this Saturday, March 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., beginning at 11:30 a.m. with ages newborn to 3 years old in the fenced-in courtyard on Main Street and continuing at 15-minute intervals between each age group. The 4-to-6-year-olds will have their hunt at the Methodist Church at 11:45 a.m., followed by a noon egg hunt for 7-to-9-year-olds on the front lawn of the Highland Library. The event will also include a visit from Penelope Hamlet, the Easter Bunny’s granddaughter, who will be on hand and provide storytelling for the kids at 11:15 a.m. There will also be notes from the Easter Bunny hidden inside some of the eggs. Gardiner egg hunt at Majestic Park on March 23

The Gardiner Day Committee will host the annual Easter egg hunt at Majestic Park in Gardiner this Saturday, March 23 at noon. Gardiner residents between the ages of 1 and 10 are invited to participate. Special prizes will be awarded in every age group. Bring baskets or bags for the eggs. Get your entry tickets at the Gardiner Town Hall during business hours Monday through Friday. Tickets are $1 per child. For additional information, call 255-9675.

 

Easter egg hunt at Historic Huguenot Street in New Paltz on March 30

The Town of New Paltz Youth Program and the New Paltz Police Department will host the 26th annual Easter egg hunt at Historic Huguenot Street in New Paltz on Saturday, March 30 at 1 p.m. Five thousands eggs will be hidden and prizes will be awarded to those who find the gold and silver eggs. The hunt is free for those ages 1-12. The event is held rain or shine and starts at the Dubois Visitor Center. For additional information, call 255-5140.

 

Egg hunt at the Methodist Church in New Paltz

The New Paltz United Methodist Women will host its annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 30 from 10 a.m. to noon at the church on the corner of Main and Grove streets. The event will also feature storytelling, childrens’ activities and snacks. All children from toddlers through age 12 are welcome. Each child should bring her/his own Easter basket.
